Sherman & Yvonne Owens, Visionaries
Wake Up Women & Stand Up Men Transitional House
Nestled in the heart of Macon, Georgia's Unionville community is the city's only known independently owned and operated faith-based place of residency where previously unhoused adults are offered free long-term shelter. Wake Up Women & Stand Up Men, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation, and through its transitional house a full year of free housing is offered to women and men who are determined to turn their lives around and become productive, law-abiding citizens.  All those who accept the
challenge presented to them must complete a zero-tolerance, 12-month program in which they are taught life skills and work ethics that will last a lifetime. All residents must consistently pass all random drug tests that are administered. Additionally, they are introduced to Christ and encouraged to attend weekly worship services

God chose the perfect vessels to spearhead this special community ministry. Prior to giving their hearts to Christ and turning their own lives around, Sherman was a drug dealer, and Yvonne was an addict. Now, they are using their own life testimonies to lead others to a breakthrough in Jesus Christ.

The Wake Up Women & Stand Up Men, Inc. transitional program is a vital part of Deliverance Revival Church's "Disciples of Deliverance" community outreach ministry.

For more information, call Yvonne Spencer-Owens between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (EST) at 478-236-2671.
